After two years of unprecedented challenges – lockdowns, chronic uncertainty, home-schooling, ongoing
stress – life is starting to return to normal. However, after such trauma, many of us need to re-energise
and rebuild. Mindfulness meditation is a science-backed tool that can help reduce the impact of stress
and build greater resilience.

Mindful in May — the online global mindfulness campaign that teaches thousands of people each year
to meditate — is returning in 2022, with the program commencing on 1 May at mindfulinmay.org.

Mindful In May invites beginners to experience a month of mindfulness and experienced meditators to
deepen their practice – with ten minutes of meditation every day for the month of May – while
contributing to making the world a better place.

Now celebrating its 10th year, Mindful in May has raised over $1.02M USD for charity: water, bringing
clean drinking water safely to over 31,000 people who need it most in developing countries.

Participants receive access to world-class education and a meditation support kit, developed by Mindful
in May founder Dr Elise Bialylew and the 2022 line-up of global experts and renowned leaders like Tara
Brach – a leading global meditation teacher; Anna Lembke – the author of Dopamine Nation (featured
on Netflix’s Social Dilemma); David Creswell – professor of psychology with a focus on resilience; Bruce
Perry – New York Times no. 1 bestseller and endorsed by Oprah; Laura Markham – a conscious
parenting expert, and Rhonda Magee – focused expert on racial justice.

“We need tools that help us achieve a sense of calm and manage our big emotions more than ever
before,” says Dr Elise Bialylew.

“Mindfulness cannot remove challenges from our lives, but it is a simple and scientifically-proven practice that reduces stress and improves energy. It is one practical and powerful thing you can do today to change your life for the better.”

The Mindful in May online program is supported by Monash University research that demonstrates that
just ten minutes of daily meditation can improve focus, self-compassion and emotional regulation, and
decrease stress.

Mindful In May provides a step-by-step, science backed toolkit including daily motivational emails,
guided meditations, exclusive video teachings with global experts, and access to an online global
community to help support each other in making meditation a habit for life.

The 2022 Mindful in May program will commence on 1 May – 31 May
