On Sunday 19 February the picturesque Elsternwick Park in Brighton, Melbourne will become a sea of pink for the annual Carman’s Fun Run in support of people affected by breast cancer.

Previously a women’s only event, it now welcomes everyone along to participate in the half-marathon, 10 km or 5 km course. Whether you prefer to run or walk, there’s an event for everyone and the course is fully accessible so you can even bring your pram!

The best way to support people in your community affected by breast cancer is to fundraise in the lead up to your run, or if you’re not running you can donate to someone else’s run. All money raised will go to Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) so they can continue to provide information and support, connection and a voice for everyone diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia.

The day doesn’t end at the finish line. The Event Village will be the place to celebrate with friends and family as Carman’s Carnival come alive with entertainment, rides and activities for the kids. There will be a massage and stretching zone for those taking to the course, food and coffee vendors, retail and merchandise stands, and BCNA’s Mini-Field of Women tribute.

BCNA partners with Sole Motive and Carman’s to bring this fantastic event to Melbourne. It promises to be a day of good vibes, smashing personal goals and supporting, celebrating and remembering loved ones affected by breast cancer.

  • 5.45am – Event Village opens
  • 7.10am – half-marathon starts
  • 8.15am – 10 km starts
  • 9.15am – 5 km starts
  • 9.30am – 5 km walk starts
  • 1.00pm – event concludes

For those of you who can’t make it to Melbourne, the event includes a run anywhere, anytime option. Between 18 – 27 February you can register to run from wherever you happen to be.
