Did you know that breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia?
In fact in 2021 alone, it was estimated that 19,866 women and 164 men in Australia would be diagnosed with breast cancer. That equates to 1 in 7 women being diagnosed in their lifetime. In addition to that, almost half of Australians are unaware if cancer runs in their family and with 10% of cancers being hereditary.
Pink Hope is asking all of us to go bold this September with Bright Pink Lipstick Day to help build awareness.
Bright Pink Lipstick day started ten years ago as a way to encourage Australians to facilitate conversations around their own health, especially when it comes to hereditary cancers.
So on September 16, 2022 wear your bright pink lipstick, start a conversation and fundraise if you wish to help support the vital work of the Pink Hope community team, who support women affected by breast and ovarian cancers.
From phone support and online resources to private community groups and exclusive events, Pink Hope provides an understanding and supportive community for women who have recently been diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer or who have discovered they are at risk because of a gene mutation or strong family history.
By connecting them to trusted resources and a tight-knit community, these women are empowered to make informed choices that could lead to better health outcomes. That is how this lipstick can save the life of so many women.
Pink Hope will be selling their all natural, vegan lipstick for Bright Pink Lipstick Day and all money goes back to the work that they do.
So #daretoshare to save lives this September and lets restart this very important conversation
