Some say that Thomas Street Park has the greatest wooden adventure playground in Melbourne! Mama tends to agree!
I’ve been coming to this park since I was young and it must be one of the most premium wooden adventure playgrounds in Melbourne. People drive far and wide to spend a day exploring this glorious fort playground, but as Baysiders we are lucky to have it so close. The amazing wooden structure has so many nooks and crannies to be explored, with secret hideaways, tunnels and narrow walkways (careful some are designed to move!) to keep kids busy. There are three slides, a flying fox, turrets to keep a lookout from, a wooden car, sandpit, monkey bars and four swings all under a shade sail.
The whole park area is huge with bbq’s, toilets, bike paths and lots of space to play or picnic. Every Sunday (weather dependant) find Barry from Pony Power running his pony rides at the park, hand led by parents around the track for $10 per rider, with helmet and hair nets provided. #adorable
